As a newly funded business, Appliansys wants to put in place good employment practices from the start - and needs to recruit a team to double it's initial size (11 to 20+).

Peter Cox was appointed as PT HR Director - working approximately 1 day per week.

He started by reviewing contracts, policies and procedures and put a complete up to date set into place.  He also worked closely with the CEO on a resourcing plan - timing / costing / impact / priorities and presented this to the board.

He has provided management training to the managers and acts as a sounding board to the CEO.

This business has been around many years, but realised that it's people practices needed review.  Peter Cox works on an occasional basis with the MD - looking at: HR Policies & Procedures, Handling difficult situations (redundancy / dismissal) and generally ensuring the quality of HR processes.
